Cab My Ride, a family-run taxi service based in the heart of Southampton, has acquired Millers Taxi operating in the Hedge End, Bishop’s Waltham area. 

Millers Taxi has been an integral part of the community around  Eastleigh, Fareham & Winchester since its inception; a household name everyone knows! The company was formed with vehicles owned by the company offering high-quality service, including local and airport transfers. However, due to COVID, the company was left in a vulnerable position, Cab My Ride has successfully acquired the service and has integrated it into its platform. 

Cab My Ride is a transport company based in Southampton, UK. Cab My Ride provide on-demand transport services to customers across the South of England and now can extend this offering to customers in rural areas where typically it would be difficult to get a taxi. Cab My Ride is now able to do this thanks to the acquisition of 13 MPV vehicles from Millers! The acquisition adds 13 MPV vehicles to the Cab My Ride fleet, something which is rare to get in the city at the moment. It now brings the Cab My Ride fleet to over 300 drivers across the city!

This becomes Arjan, the 27-year-old director of Cab My Ride, second acquisition this year! In January he acquired Bitterne Cars and now Millers. The operations are growing across Hampshire at a rapid rate and now we’re serving a community that once did not have access to on-demand transport. The total consideration for the acquisition is in a six-figure amount.

Following the acquisition by Cab My Ride, the Eastleigh operations will benefit from the expertise of a bigger team, with more resources and capital to invest in technology, customer service and the number of cars. The deal will also open opportunities for an additional 70 new Eastleigh licensed drivers who will join their team. Cab My Ride has retained all current staff at Millers and is looking to expand its team by 5 members of staff, which will allow them to develop its clear vision as an innovative new player within the marketplace.
